Aryna Sabalenka
Sabalenka was born in Minsk. Sergey, her father (who passed away in the year 2019) was an ice hockey player. Aryna Sabalenka, born on May 5, 1998 from Minsk Belarus. She has won 12 WTA titles in her career. This includes her Grand Slam of 2023 Australian Open. In doubles, she is an excellent player. She's won two majors along with Elise Mertens, The US Open in 2019 and the Australian Open in 2021. She also achieved her Sunshine Double in 2019, taking in the WTA 1000 at Indian Wells, Miami and the Australian Open alongside Elise Mertens. Women's doubles only had four teams achieve this feat. World singles rankings rose up to the top spot on the 20th of January, 2023. Following her victory at the Melbourne doubles competition in February 2021 and gaining the doubles title, she managed rise up the rankings to take the first spot on the list of that particular specialty. Dmitry Tursunov was her coach from 2018, until the end of her season in 2019. She also worked with him for a short time before the year 2020 began. Dieter Kindlmann was briefly with her between August and September of 2020. Antonio Dubrov, her fellow nationman, has been her coach from the year 2020. Serena Williams and Maria Sharapova were her idols.
